How it works

Simple for admins. Seamless for submitters.

Enable ReEntry on any form in under a minute. No shortcodes to wire up, no page templates to configure.

2
Submitter fills form
A secure token is generated and included in the confirmation or notification email.
3
They click the link
The form loads pre-populated with their original data. Ready to edit.
4

Their original entry is updated in place — or a new entry is created, your choice.

FAQ

Common questions

Does this require GravityView or any other plugin?
No. ReEntry is completely standalone. It works with any Gravity Forms license tier and does not require GravityView, GravityKit, or any other add-on.
Do submitters need a WordPress account?
No. That's the whole point. The return link is authenticated by a secure token — no login, no password, no account required.
How secure is the return link?
Each link contains a cryptographically random token generated with PHP's random_bytes(). Links can be set to expire, revoked at any time by an admin, and optionally rotated after each use (Pro).
What happens when a link expires?
The submitter sees a customizable expired link message. With Pro, you can instead redirect them to a custom URL or enable a self-service re-link request flow where they enter their email to receive a fresh link.
Does it work with multi-page forms?
Single-page forms are fully supported in v1. Multi-page form support is on the roadmap for a future update.
Is it GDPR compliant?
Yes. IP addresses stored in access logs are anonymized (last octet zeroed for IPv4). ReEntry also registers with WordPress's built-in Tools → Erase Personal Data and Export Personal Data flows.
